Join us for a quick mid-day history break as Prescott native and river historian Dallas Eggers shares stories from our waterways — steamboats, ferries, and life along the river in our region. Drawing from years working on towboats and teaching river history across the Midwest, Dallas brings local history to life in this engaging presentation.

Get ready for an immersive Amelia experience!
Step back in time and experience the life, legacy, and mystery of one of history’s most iconic aviation pioneers – Amelia Earhart. This is all presented by her real-life cousin, Nancy Earhart Burt.
With captivating storytelling, authentic costuming, and inspiring lessons on courage and perseverance, Nancy takes audiences on a journey through Amelia’s incredible accomplishments and enduring influencing on aviation and women’s history.
Nancy shares an entertaining and educational slideshow of Amelia Earhart’s life, complete with audio and video clips.

The program has two parts.
In the first half, “Amelia” arrives in costume and shares highlights of her amazing life story — growing up in Kansas along the Missouri River, moving often as a child, developing her interest in flying, her historic aviation achievements, and her thoughts on the role of women. She encourages us all to find the courage to pursue what we want in life.
In the second half, Amelia leaves and her cousin Nancy steps in to share “The Rest of the Story” — what happened to her famous cousin. Nancy discusses the books she wrote, how she financed her future flights, and more.
